About Jan Robles
I have been a therapist in private practice for over 32 years and began as a case manager and family therapist for Social Services in Teller County. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and a Master's Degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor. I am also a Certified Criminal Justice Specialist, and since 1987 have been an Approved Domestic Violence Treatment Provider for both El Paso and Teller County providing psycho-educational group treatment. I've enjoyed conducting relationship & communication workshops throughout the years and have twice presented at the Crisis Intervention Training with the Colorado Springs Police Department. I have also been fortunate enough to present for 2 years at the DV Summit conferences.
My style tends to be empathetic, warm, and interactive while combining humor and encouragement in order to challenge clients as they find their strengths. An additional type of counseling being offered now is via on-line, email, Skype or phone. Please ask for more details to determine if this might be a good alternative or addition for you.
Believe that change is always possible, starting today.
